for the south-east Asian assets of French rival Carrefour. Read more Evron Foods has recently secured a contract to supply SPAR
UK with own-label fresh and frozen garlic breads. The deal, which initially
kicked off in July, saw Evron take over the supply of SPAR brand twin-pack
frozen garlic baguettes and, from September, the company will also be supplying
SPAR with own-brand fresh single garlic baguettes as well as garlic slices, which
is a new line for the retailer.

London 2012 Paralympic mascot Mandeville soft toys hit Sainsbury’s shelves this
week, with two years to go until the opening ceremony of the London Paralympic
Games in 2012. The mascots are available at 125 Sainsbury’s across the country
as the supermarket prepares for the Paralympic Games, of which it is the first
ever sole sponsor. In addition to the regular toys, a total of 2,012
limited edition Mandeville soft toys, which come in an exclusive box, have also
gone on sale, with 1200 being sold at Sainsbury’s.
Budgens continues to develop its own-brand range by expanding its bakery
