Pernod Ricard announces seven new appointments, effective from 1st of July 2009 :
Further to the nomination of Gilles Bogaert as Managing Director Finance of Pernod Ricard, Bryan Fry, currently Marketing Vice President of Pernod Ricard Asia, will succeed him in the position of Managing Director of Pernod Ricard Brasil and will report to Philippe Dréano, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Pernod Ricard Americas.
Following the appointment of César Giron as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Pernod, Victor Jerez, currently Chief Operating Officer of Pernod Ricard Brasil, is appointed as Managing Director of Wyborowa and will report to Laurent Lacassagne, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Pernod Ricard Europe.
Sergio Marly, currently Commercial Director of Pernod Ricard España, is appointed to the position of Managing Director of Pernod Ricard Argentina and will report to Eduardo Otero, in charge of the Pernod Ricard Southern Cone and Andes Cluster.
Jean-Marc Bryskère, currently Managing Director of Pernod Ricard Nederland, is appointed to the position of Managing Director of the Pernod Ricard Benelux Cluster.
Béatrice Morane, currently Marketing & Business Development Director of Pernod Ricard Europe, is appointed Managing Director of Pernod Ricard Belgium. Her successor will be announced later on. She will report to Jean-Marc Bryskère.
Erik Zaal, currently Sales Director of Pernod Ricard Nederland, is appointed Managing Director of Pernod Ricard Nederland. He will report to Jean-Marc Bryskère.
Christian Barré, currently Managing Director of Pernod Ricard Swiss, is appointed Managing Director of Domecq Bodegas, Spanish affiliate of quality wines. Christian will report to Laurent Lacassagne, Domecq Bodegas becoming a direct affiliate of Pernod Ricard Europe. His replacement will be communicated at a later stage.
Cadbury European president Tamara Minick-Scokalo is thought to be leaving the confectionery company after just six months in the top job amid an overhaul of the confectioner's senior European team.Speculation suggests European commercial operations director Ignasi Ricou may take a wider role as a result of Minick-Scokalo's departure and a wider management shake-up.
Charity Drinkaware has appointed alcohol expert Professor Paul Wallace as its Chief Medical Adviser. The role has been created to support Drinkaware's mission to influence consumer behaviour by providing information and facts about the effects of alcohol. Wallace, who is professor of Primary Care at University College London and a general practitioner, will review the charity's health and medical communications, advise on campaigns and act as a media spokesman.
Syzygy UK, the WPP-owned digital agency, has appointed Meera Chandra as its new managing director.Chandra replaces Gareth Phillips in the role, who has left the agency to pursue other interests. Phillips had worked at Syzygy for almost nine years, starting off as the business group director before taking on the managing director's role in June 2005.During his time at the agency, Phillips helped bring in new business from clients including Orange and De Beers. Chandra joins Syzygy from RMG Connect India, where she held the role of president and national creative director.
In her new role, she will be responsible for growing the agency's UK business, as well as helping to improve its creative product.

UK food group Glisten has reduced its profit forecasts for the full year and suspended two executives, (finance director and managing director) as a result of finding failures in management and accounting processes at one of its subsidiaries Halo Foods which is the largest part of Glisten's Fruit & Cereal Snacks Division.
Sainsbury's has added former GUS executive David Tyler to the shortlist of candidates to replace outgoing chairman Philip Hampton, the Sunday Telegraph reports without citing sources. Tyler was finance director at GUS, which later spun off its Argos retail business to form Home Retail Group, between 1997 and 2006, and is chairman of IT company Logica.
Premier Foods, Britain's biggest food manufacturer, said its finance director Paul Thomas would leave the company later this year to seek new challenges and that it had started the search for his successor. Thomas will step down shortly after presenting its interim results on August 5.
Online advertising veteran David J. Moore, chairman & founder of 24/7 Real Media, has been elected as the new chairman of The Interactive Advertising Bureau. Moore, who co-founded Petry Interactive-the predecessor of 24/7 Real Media in 1995-had effectively served as the IAB's chairman since April, when Wenda Harris Millard resigned following her departure from Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. A 30-year media veteran, Moore's career has included stints at Turner Broadcasting and Viacom. He's been an IAB board member since 2002.
