There are trees that grow in  Africa which, once a year, produce very juicy fruits that contain a large  percentage of alcohol.  Because there  is a shortage of water, as soon as the fruits are ripe, animals come  there to help protect themselves from the heat.

Coca-Cola Encourages Scots To Return Home With Limited Edition Bottle
Homecoming Scotland campaign celebrates the 250th anniversary of Robert Burns’ birth

This June, Coca-Cola is actively supporting the Scottish Government's Homecoming Scotland Campaign by launching a limited edition 'Coke' glass 330ml bottle.

This year's Homecoming Scotland campaign celebrates the 250th anniversary of Robert Burns' birth. The Homecoming Scotland 'Coke' bottle has therefore been designed to feature an image of the famous Scottish Poet as well as the iconic Highland Stag against the traditional 'Coke' red background.

The launch of the 'Homecoming Scotland' bottle is to support the Scottish Government campaign to encourage Scottish ex-patriots to return home to Scotland either to live or on holiday.

The limited edition bottle will be available in independent, on premise, workplace and leisure outlets in the whole of the UK from June until the end of the year.  The launch of the 'Homecoming Scotland' bottle is expected to drive demand for the brand and increase sales for retailers.

Alan Halliday, Regional Director of Coca-Cola Enterprises Scotland, comments:

"Coca-Cola is delighted to be supporting the Homecoming Scotland Campaign. With both manufacturing and sales operations, employing over 400 people in the region, our Scottish customer relationships are highly important to the business. It therefore makes a lot of sense that we get involved in a campaign like this, supporting the Scottish economy by encouraging Scottish people to return to their roots with a limited edition 'Homecoming Scotland' bottle."

On Friday 5th June Coca-Cola will be hosting a launch event at Gleneagles Hotel for customers which will be attended by Simon Baldry, Managing Director, Coca-Cola Enterprises Ltd and The Rt. Hon. Alex Salmond MSP, First Minister of Scotland.

The Coca-Cola Company has previously produced a number of iconic limited edition bottles, but never for a national event on the scale of the Homecoming Scotland campaign anywhere in the world.
