350 Jobs Under Threat As Axe Hangs Over Hull Food Plant
Chief executive Stefan Barden of Northern Foods says "We anticipate that next year will be equally challenging, with the continuation of food inflation and competitive pressures."

Chief executive Stefan Barden 350 jobs are under threat today as a major food supplier launched a consultation over the closure of its factory in Hull, which makes ready meals for supermarket Morrisons. Goodfella's pizza and Fox's biscuits maker Northern Foods broke the news as it revealed its annual pre-tax profits had fallen five per cent to £47.5m.
